Marc Neikrug Bassoon Concerto

I have the great pleasure of being one of four bassoonists who are part of a co-commissioned bassoon concerto by Marc Neikrug which was premiered last November with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and their principal, Richard Svoboda.  In May, Sue Heineman performed the piece with her orchestra, The National Symphony Orchestra.  I will be performing the work with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra on November 8 and 9 with Carlos Kalmar conducting.  Finally, Chris Millard of the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa will perform the piece there in January of 2015.  It’s a great piece and I hope you’ll come.
